Support By Design provides top-notched customized professional development workshops both locally and nationally. SBD has earmarked our professional development and services delivery approach an acrostic in which we call “H.O.P.E.”  Which stands for Helping Our Pupils Excel.  Driven by our insatiable desire to empower a wide range of human service professionals, these workshops are designed for administrators, teachers, mental health providers, parents, churches, and civic organizations.

These sessions are customized to the growth needs of organizations and will discuss the topics such as, but not limited to: agency or school-wide discipline, behavior modification, organizational or classroom management, social skills instruction, team building, character development, leadership, substance abuse education, mental health, disability awareness, IEP (Individualized Education Plan) implementation, crisis intervention, and ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences).

Support By Design (SBD) is vested and committed to the holistic development of an individual’s overall emotional and mental wellness. Quality programs and therapeutic interventions are established that encompass a range of services from mental health, social emotional learning, college and career readiness, and substance use disorders.   SBD’s highly competent staff works to craft individualized care & flexible treatment plans for at-risk children & families.  SBD consistently endeavors to help consumers make the connection between behaviors and the health and well-being of the body, mind and spirit.

An integral component of SBD’s behavioral health services is community education.  This aspect of service is fostered by a workshop series call “H.O.P.E. Helping Our Pupils Excel: Behavioral Health Educational Series” which focuses on providing parents, care-givers, community service providers, staff, and consumers with concrete recommendations, accommodations, and support for individuals with emotional disabilities and that exhibit maladaptive behaviors.  All who participate in the H.O.P.E. Behavioral Health Educational Series are coached and educated in a strengths-based approach to behavior management that focuses on empowerment versus force and coercion.
